About Kathryn

Kathryn Woodson Barr is a passionate and multitalented educational leader, coach, and consultant with 30 years of experience teaching and leading in schools in the United States and the United Arab Emirates. During her career, she has experienced almost every role found in a school from summer camp director to head of school. Kathryn loves to travel, and she’d love to come see you!

She has been married to Tom for 30-something years, and they have two daughters, Rebecca and Elizabeth, and a son, Thomas, who are all grown up! Her dog, Leo, thinks he is a certified therapy dog, but he is really just a good dog.

In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, Kathryn completed the 200-hour yoga certification training with Akasha Ellis, the Reiki I and II attunement/certification with Bliss Wood, and Demonstrating Healthful Cooking at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Kathryn loves to teach yoga and cooking, lead women’s retreats, and demonstrate plant-based food preparation at farmers’ markets.

Kathryn enjoys out of the box thinking and encourages clients to come up with an idea that won’t work. When she looks back to some of the things she has done that have appeared “crazy” to the outside world, she notes the preparation and planning that took place years before. She’d love to help you plant the seeds for the “crazy” thing you or your organization might do!

“I love to work with women, girls, organizations, and schools as they anticipate, prepare for, or go through changes. Change happens, so let’s make it exhilarating!”
